Traverse City Record Eagle

Index to Year of 1940

This index was not created by me. A super lady, Lucille, years ago compiled this material from reading microfilms of all the different Traverse City newspapers.  This file is only for the year of 1940.  Now, this is not to say there aren't things missing.  It was a huge job to do.  I will type them up and put on the internet as I can.   Births that were indexed for this year are not able to be put online.  Photographs are noted if indexed.  If a page number is missing it is because over the years new copies of this material has been a bit crooked and lost to the copier.  But with the date you should be able to find the topic.  For questions, comments or additions, please email Brenda

The best way to search is Control+F for Find. This is an alphabetical listing not date order. This will allow you to search as long as the spelling fits what is on the page.
