BURDICKVILLE 10 Sep 1936 Leelanau Enterprise

What might have been a tragedy was averted by coast guards of the Sleeping Bear Point when a young lady, a guest at Dunn's resort one day last week, became separated from her party and wandered around on the dune in the hot sun, panic stricken, until rescued hours later.  On sand that leaves as little impression of foot prints as that of the Sahara desert, this is something that might easily occur and a fact that should be remembered by all parties exploring the dune. This young lady suffered agony, both mentally and physically before found.
