Searching for any info on the brother of my g-g-grandmother. His name: Frederiksen, Niels Christian born January 18, 1859, Longelse Parish, Svendborg County, Langeland, Denmark immigrated to U.S. from Denmark in 1880, settling in Muskegon, Michigan parents: Frederick Nielsen Wichmann and Anne Madsen.   I do not know when he died, but he was not listed as a surviving relative in the obit of his sister Martha Frederiksen Hansen in August, 1936, so presumably he died before then. I also do not know if he remained in Muskegon County-- he had a brother that lived in Kalkaska County, near Fife Lake-- perhaps he moved up there. Any information about him would be most helpful. I would like to trace where he lived, when he died, and if he had any children-- I would like to trace that line of the family. He probably came to America too late to be included in the 1880 census, but he should show up in the 1900, 1910, and 1920. There may be variations on the spelling of the last name Frederiksen-- Fredericksen, Frederickson, etc. Thanks.

There is a deed between Theodore Gietzen and Eva Gietzen, his wife of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Jacob Baier and Frances Baier, his wife of Mayfield township, Michigan. It is for land in the township of Mayfield, County of Grand Traverese and State of Michigan. Jacob and Frances are buying the land and it is dated April 16, 1924.

Jacob had a step son John Miller, who we know moved to Traverse City sometime between 1929 and 1932. We cannot find any trace of him after that. We know he married and had 6 children.

Jacob lived in Oshkosh, WI prior to that time. I cannot find him on the 1920 census so I am assuming at this point he was living in Michigan at that point. He died here in Oshkosh, WI. John was living in Oshkosh yet at that point.

Frances died in 1932. John was living in Traverse City at that point. I would like to verify Jacob living in Michigan and also find more information about John Miller. I have no dob or dod for him.

Jacob and Frances came over to America in 1889 with John and 3 other children. Approximate dob for John would be 1877. Thank you. Cilla Baier
