Family Certificates and Requirements |
| Ancestral Family |
GTAGS offers an
Ancestral Family Certificates to anyone who can prove descent from an
ancestor who lived in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau
counties, 100 or more years ago. |
| Early Settler |
GTAGS also offers an
Early Settler Certificates to those who can prove their ancestor's residence
who before 1860 for the same list of counties above. |
| It is not necessary for the
applicant to live in the area, but the applicant must be able to prove their
ancestor's residency and document each generation.
The cost of each certificate is a non-refundable fee of $10.00.
Payment is due with the submission of your Surname Pedigree Chart and copies
of your documentation for each generation. Please note: You MUST
document the relationships from one generation to another. |
